About Me

I’m Mary Anne, a proud Colorado native and a senior at CU Boulder studying Quantitative Economics with a minor in Business. I would really like to nurture my creative side, especially when I can still get student discounts to try it out. In the past, I’ve dabbled in creative writing and have very minimal Adobe Creative Cloud experience from high school newspaper, so this will be a journey! Some of my favorite things in life are friends + family, wine + charcuterie boards, hockey, folk music, enjoying nature, and never taking myself too seriously. I follow several different digital artists on Instagram, and I love that art can be silly, inspirational, relatable, and anything else. Here are a few of my favorites.

One of my favorite pieces of digital art and animation is the show BoJack Horseman. I especially like how the universe that combines both animals and people. In a way, it’s silly and quirky but it’s also a unique lens to examine real world issues. Also… I think this shot in particular just looks cool.

This one has texture that feels like I can reach out and touch it, and if I could it'd feel scratchy like steel wool, plus it just makes me laugh!

I love how this looks like it's 3D as well, plus all the vibrant colors.

My final and strongest influence is nature. Nature gives me such a palette to work with, and I love how this piece is a cartoonish take on our world with a gorgeous pink sky.
